Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program

Build your future with Aurubis Richmond through our three-year Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program, offered in partnership with the Georgia Consortium for Advanced Technical Training (GA CATT) and Augusta Technical College.

This unique program combines paid, hands-on training with classroom instruction, allowing apprentices to earn while they learn. Participants receive 100% paid tuition while developing valuable skills in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, working alongside experienced maintenance professionals in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.

Throughout the program, apprentices prepare for a comprehensive midterm and final assessment, each consisting of both written and hands-on practical exams. Successful completion earns an internationally recognized industry certification based on the German dual apprenticeship model, demonstrating mastery of mechatronics skills and providing a credential that is respected by advanced manufacturers around the world. The GA CATT program is modeled after Germany's renowned dual education system and awards nationally and internationally recognized industry certifications.

Upon successful completion of the program, apprentices are well prepared for a rewarding career in industrial maintenance at Aurubis Richmond.
